AccuWeigh’s West Australian branch recently supplied and installed an in-ground design, 18 metre steel deck weighbridge at a new facility being built for a large industrial gas supplier in Kwinana, WA. The supply also included the AccuWeigh IT8000E Driver Control Station with our “Axle Check” software to enable axle group weights to be recorded and displayed to assist the customer and driver with their Chain of Responsibility compliance.

Weighbridge Driver Control Station enables drivers to interact with the weighbridge and remove the need for a specific weighbridge operator. Along with the DCS and control system AccuWeigh also included traffic control lights and remote weight displays to ensure the driver is fully informed of the process and results plus a ticket printer to confirm axle group weights. The supplied system also provides data output via the site Ethernet to a networked site PC for reporting and data analysis needs.

The customer chose to use the civils contractor who was developing the site to complete the weighbridge foundation construction, but also chose to work in conjunction with AccuWeigh’s civils manager who undertook a critical event inspection and advice role in the project. This gave the customer a “best of both worlds” result. The final part of the project was for AccuWeigh to verify the weighbridge to ensure the installation meets with the requirements of the Trade Measurement Act.

AccuWeigh is not just a weighbridge supplier but is also a solutions provider able to supply a complete and integrated weighbridge system, as in this instance.
