AccuWeigh recently donated over $600 to Bravehearts (https://www.bravehearts.org.au/), a charity that solely exists to prevent child sexual assault in our society and to make Australia the safest place in the world to raise a child.
The donation was made as part of AccuWeigh’s A Higher Cause charity initiative.
Many charities centred on children have benefitted through AccuWeigh’s A Higher Cause program in the past, but this is the first time that Bravehearts has been a recipient of a financial donation.
The donation signals a clear confidence in and endorsement of the work that Bravehearts performs for the community. AccuWeigh also acknowledges the importance of the safety of the next generation of Australians.
Around $55,000 has been donated in total to very worthy charities since AccuWeigh initiated its A Higher Cause initiative back in 2008. However, the initiative does more than donating financially to charities. The initiative also contributes back to our communities through a combination of volunteering labour, the running of special events, employing of less-privileged people, and more.
AccuWeigh’s A Higher Cause initiative also generates many positive effects with its staff. Morale and confidence are high within AccuWeigh, with many employees sharing a firm belief that AccuWeigh is making a contribution to positive change in our communities.
