When a major Australian grocer recently moved into their new South Australian facility, it was also necessary for them to purchase accurate scales for their cold room. With temperatures down to -5°C, the scales needed to be robust and capable of reliable operation in this environment.

Many companies would have provided a stock-standard pallet scale with little thought of its long-term reliability for the customer in this environment. However, AccuWeigh’s A500 pallet scale has a robust construction and uses load cells that can operate in a temperature as low as -30°C. Likewise, the AccuWeigh IT1000 digital weight indicator is rated to a minimum -10°C and is supplied, as standard, in a stainless steel enclosure rated to IP 67, making it extremely ideal for cold room operations.
