AccuWeigh New South Wales recently supplied, installed and commissioned an 18m above ground, steel deck weighbridge to a waste recycling facility in Sydney. As this was an existing, fully operational site, the customer chose to purchase a steel deck weighbridge to minimise disruption to their site traffic.
Additionally, this site was deemed to have contaminated soil, meaning that excavation work for a weighbridge foundation would not be possible. AccuWeigh designed a solution whereby the steel deck weighbridge would itself be installed on a steel foundation sub-frame, fabricated by AccuWeigh. AccuWeigh also fabricated and installed all-steel ramps to access this above ground weighbridge.
The project was split into two parts. AccuWeigh supplied and installed the weighbridge with ramps, remote indicator with post, boom gates with double ground loops and an IT1000 indicator with outputs to a third party software system.
The third party worked with AccuWeigh and supplied the customer with dual Driver Control Stations and posts, photo-electric sensors, and all cabling and connections back to their control system.
The entire project took just over one week to complete which suited this customer to a tee.
