A Seca 354 baby scale has recently been purchased by City Council north of Melbourne to weigh newborn babies and toddlers. Seca is an internationally recognised and trusted brand for medical weighing scales with patient comfort integrated in to their designs.
The baby scale’s maximum capacity of 20kg and graduations of 20g make it ideal for monitoring the health and growth of new babies, while its removable weighing tray allows toddlers to stand on the scale to be weighed also. Essentially, the Seca 354 is two scales in one.
The Seca 354 also has a Breast-Milk-Intake function which allows health workers to determine how much milk the baby has consumed.
The scale is very light-weight (just 2.3kg) and can be easily moved from one location to another. Its self-explanatory buttons simplify the operation. A Tare function allows a blanket or soft mat to be reliably excluded from the overall weight and an Auto-Hold function ensures the weight can be captured eliminating unwanted distraction by health workers.
