AccuWeigh recently serviced a transfer tunnel weighbridge for a prominent waste transfer station in Brisbane, Queensland. A transfer tunnel weighbridge is one mounted in a tunnel below the ground level of the main refuse disposal area. A typical end loader is used to push waste from the main refuse area into a waiting truck on the weighbridge below.
Sometimes not all the waste falls in to the waiting truck and the build-up of refuse around the weighbridge over time requires clean-outs and wash-downs.
