AccuWeigh Queensland recently supplied and commissioned two load cell constrainer kits to a customer which used the kits to create two custom shipping container weighers. The load cell constrainer kits use high-capacity canister load cells (those commonly used in weighbridges) and include an integrated restraints system to prevent minimal sideways movement.
Constrainer kits are exceptional useful for installing under bins, silos and, in this, in custom applications. They can be supplied for new installations or can be used to retrofit existing bins and silos to convert them in to weighing systems.
AccuWeigh also supplied with each constrainer kit a Rinstrum R423 digital weight indicator which has basic batching software installed as standard.
The standard batching software allowed this customer to use three programmable setpoints. One setpoint was used to set the maximum capacity so that the weigh system can never overfill the vessel (shipping container). A second setpoint was set at zero so the weigh system can never run the pump dry if the vessel is empty. The third setpoint is a regularly adjusted setpoint by the operator that is changed to suit the individual target weight of the batch in the vessel.
