South East Queensland’s Special Children’s Christmas Party will be held in mid-December and will give up to 3,000 very deserving children from the local community an opportunity to experience a very special Christmas. The children will be selected from four major groups: the terminally ill, the intellectually impaired, physically impaired and also the underprivileged who may be suffering from domestic violence or physical abuse.

AccuWeigh has recently donated $500 to this year’s Christmas Party, with the expectation of adding more smiles to children’s faces. Each child attending the Party will enjoy amusement rides, an animal farm, free ice creams, drinks and a sausage sizzle, a four-hour stage show, a surprise visit from Santa and the opportunity to choose two or three high-quality toys from a selection of over 9,000.

AccuWeigh’s own charity initiative allows for a $500 donation to be made to a worthy charity each quarter with employees encouraged to nominate charities which they share a connection with or have an affinity to. The initiative has seen a diverse range of charities benefit since the initiative’s inception in 2008.
