Originally established in Sydney as Standard Weighbridges in 1930 by Wentworth Armstrong, the business has expanded over the generations, and operated three of its own sites in NSW, and has eight partner sites across the country.

The company was the first to operate unmanned public weighbridges in Australia and boasts over 7000 customer swipe cards in circulation.

In 2015, the company was acquired by DiverseCo. It continues to operate under the same brand name.
